Changes -- 10/4/2008
When I gave my life to God last summer, it was the
most exciting feeling in the world. Everything I had, I gave to God. My life was
His with which to do whatever He wanted. However, as time went on, I started
taking parts of my life back. I became overly content with what He'd given me
and really didn't feel I had a need for anything else, much less God. Other
parts of my life started taking precedence over Him.

Revelation -- 5/27/2008
We all have heard very many Christian ideas that have been repeated over and over. Yet,
we don't really believe them, even though we all know that we should live by them.
Knowing isn't enough. God needs to give you the revelation before it becomes effectual
on your life. Here are some common Christian ideas: Christianity is a relationship, not
a religion. Giving God the glory in everything you do. Putting God first in your life.
Being thankful in all things. Seeking God before making decisions. Loving God and living
for Him. None of the above ideas are wrong in any way; they are, in fact, quite good.
However, they have become clichés that we Christians talk about just because we're told
that they're true.

Talent -- 4/18/2008
I believe that everyone is born with a gift or
talent of some kind. My gift happens to be music-related; I enjoy writing
music and playing the piano and drumset much more than most other things. I
never have really thought of my talents as gifts from God, so for the most
part, I neglected them. It wasn't until about two years ago that I really
started writing music, and I've only been playing the drumset for seven months.
Mostly, I've used my gifts for myself--for my personal enjoyment, for
attention, etc. Over these past few weeks, God has taught me something about
my gifts: God didn't give me gifts for my own personal enjoyment. God gave me
them to honor Him.

Processes -- 3/8/2008
Mark 5:25-34 KJV: This story is popular
enough. Most Christians would be able to tell it fairly well. But I think
there's more to this story than just another miracle Jesus performed. One of
those things is what caused this woman to be healed. It says that it was her
faith that healed her. It wasn't because she touched Jesus'
magical healing body like most would tell you. She was healed because she believed in
the healing power of the Messiah. This is not so with a lot of things we do.
Many times, we attribute something spiritual to something that we've done;
in other words, we think that we are healed because of a touch rather than by faith.

Some Things are Indescribable for a Reason -- 1/23/2008
A couple weeks ago during a meeting, God said
something to me that was very perplexing:
"Some things are indescribable for a reason."
I've spent a lot of time pondering this; it's a very interesting
thought. I decided to look up the word "indescribable" in the Bible, and found
that it appears in the NIV only once.

My Mission Statement -- 11/14/2007
I am writing this post for my friends. This is
also for your friends, and their friends... this is for my entire
generation. I know you guys believe in God. I know that you believe
that Jesus was crucified on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin.
I know you believe that God loves you more than you could ever imagine.
There is more, though. There is more that you might not know.
